North Palm Beach, FL 7 November 1999
I was going to dive with Bill Pacheco and the Scuba Quest folks, but I believe I was the only one that showed up. The waves were high, seas were rough but the VIS was 100+ feet; the best I've seen there, and warm (76). There was some seasickness on board for a few, but most took it in stride. I took a whole roll of film on the first dive, but it was ruined somehow. I used my backup camera (not as good) on the 2nd dive. I didn't take many pictures since I assumed the first dive was enough... therefore, I got only 5 pictures worth posting....
This was a day to catch lobsters. I saw more on this dive than all dives before put together. The boat returned with a bumper crop of lobsters.
The visibility was great the 1st dive, but at the very end of the 2nd dive, a wall of 'dirty sea' moved slowly up to, then enveloped us in it's VERY BAD VIS (around 5 feet). I think we were drifting close to shore disturbance.
This guy was dinner for someone that night...
You can't really tell it, but the seas were 5 feet+. Everyone is
firmly seated or holding on to something...
Corel & a fish
The VIS was great but my camera wasn't doing to well
