Dived
with Jim Abernethy's Charters
Current was very strong this day... 2-3 knots... The waves were less than 3 feet, but choppy with the wind. Otherwise it was warm, with overcast skies. Joshua came along on this trip, and bragged how he didn't need any 'sea-sickness' pills. He took one, but he still got sick... sick before we got into the water for the first dive, and remained ill the rest of the afternoon and night dives. He did not do the last dive (#3), that night. He did okay with his dives, but it was nice to NOT have to watch after him on that last dive.
Joshua lost a $20 light, and I lost my weight belt after the first night dive. I had grabbed someone's fin as they dove out of sight upon entering the water, and secured the strap under my weight belt during my entire dive. I looked for a 'one legged diver', but didn't see one. When I went to get back onto the boat, I took it off to hand it to someone on the boat, and the belt came loose and sunk... I watched it sink into the abyss... Oh well, I had found one a couple months ago, and had even brought along an extra one... After returning home, plus a few days, I discovered I had some else's fin. It was the same size, make, but the shoe part was Regular instead of Small. It works just fine, but I hope to find and swap out with my original.
I took the following pictures, but without the strobe. The VIS was only about 30 feet. Need that strobe! I may give up pictures until I get it back or a new one...
Some kind of crab or lobster

Joshua took this picture of the fish, but notice the head of the
spotted morray center and a little to the right.
