New Windows Setup for DOS
This new (as of 5 Feb 1998) Windows (3.1, 95 & NT) setup file contains the
following modules: Inventory, POS (Billing), Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, Accounts
Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, Service Dispatch, MRP, End of Period, Quotes, Membership
and Bar Codes. After downloading, just run to start the complete installation of these
modules. Icons for all will be created in a windows group named DAYO.

SETUP for DOS
DAYO Setup Program is a utility program we produced that will install the many DAYO
DOS modules from their compressed form into the proper sub-directories. After downloading
one (1) or more modules onto your hard drive, run this SETUP program to install them.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (AP)
DAYO AP is the 'final chapter' to the processing and maintenance of all your Payables.
DAYO AP's key mission is to process your purchase orders, however, many other routines
have been provided, including Expense Maintenance, 1099 MISC Forms, Purchase Clearing,
Vendor Maintenance, Hand/Manual Checks, Batch Checks, Recurring Checks, Unlimited Bank
Accounts, Unlimited Check Printing Formats and over 21 Reports. Purchase Orders generated
in the DAYO Inventory module can be posted to the DAYO Accounts Payable module to track
and age purchases.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE (AR)
DAYO AR is the 'final chapter' to the processing and maintenance of all your
Receivables. DAYO AR includes routines to handle cash receipts, customers, invoice types,
terms, taxcodes, sales persons, and many more. Many reports are included (Aging, Customer,
Sales...). There is a routine to print Statements (SMART, 90, 60, 30 days), and another
one to create and print 'non' standard invoices (not applicable to DAYO POS). HP Laser
forms are provided as an option for Statements and Invoices. Invoices created in DAYO
Point of Sale can be posted to DAYO AR to maintain a sales history and to generate
customer account aging.

BACK ORDERS
DAYO BACK ORDERS is the maintenance module for the processing of all of your sales
backorders. DAYO BO (working with DAYO POS) determines and manages the filling
(allocation) of your customers backorders. It does this through an allocation process that
determines what backordered items are 'fillable' because of receipts into the inventory.
This module creates the same type of invoices as the DAYO POS module.

BAR CODES 3 OF 9
DAYO BAR CODE prints 3 of 9 bar codes onto a HP Compatible Laser, or on an Epson (TM)
or IBM (TM) compatible dot matrix printer. It is integrated with the DAYO Inventory and
the DAYO Customer databases. It can be used as a standalone application if you just have a
limited number of labels to print, or have no use for an inventory control or account
receivable application. Labels are printed onto standard labels (3.5 by 15/16 inches at 6
lines per inch). The inventory bar code label consists of an item number, its bar code,
with the option to also print the vendor item number, description, unit of issue, weight,
and location. The customer bar code label consists of a customer number, its bar code,
with the option to also print the customer's name and telephone number.

BILLING & INVOICING
DAYO BILLING & INVOICING are invoicing applications for any size business. It is
the DAYO module that produces invoices of your products while keeping an accurate record
of all your sales and updating inventory. Features include: Multi- user, Registers, Quote
Interface (to DAYO Quotes), Templates, Back Orders, Data Entry Validation, Cash Drawers
(Serial or Parallel), Databases are dBase (TM) compatible, HP Laser Special Invoices,

BRAIN
DAYO BRAIN is a job scheduler and Menu system for use on MS-DOS based microcomputers.
It was developed to facilitate the maintenance, reporting and archiving necessary for many
businesses. DAYO BRAIN schedules and runs programs and routines manually or on a
pre-selected date and time. It will give you the freedom to run tedious or time consuming
programs, including reports, backups, archives, and indexes, at what would normally be
non-productive times. Run those maintenance routines when you aren't there! Have your
reports waiting on the printer when you get to work!

CASH POS
This is a major modification of the standard or big' POS program made specifically for
counter sales. It integrates extremely well with barcode scanning devices, pole displays,
receipt printers, and cash drawers. It does require the standard POS program. This program
contains routines specific for clerks/operators of a Cash Register type operation.

END OF PERIOD/PURGE
DAYO EOP (End of Period) contains routines that are normally run at the end of a
reporting period. DAYO EOP permits you to permanently remove deleted records from the
Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) databases, and to erase old report text
files. There is also a routine for performing a physical inventory. Many reports are
available including AR Aging, AP Summary, and Inventory Movement.

GENERAL LEDGER (GL)
DAYO General Ledger provides a means to manage and report company finances. DAYO GL
integrates with the other DAYO modules. Features include computer generated posting,
multi-user, double entry, export data, 30+ reports, budget management and unlimited
accounts.

DAYO INDEX is a program designed to manage the indexing of the DAYO databases. DAYO
applications all have multiple indexes, and because it is recommended that they be
re-indexed at least once daily, DAYO Index was created to simplify this process.

INVENTORY
DAYO Inventory is an Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Vendor Maintenance
application. Use DAYO Inventory to create and maintain an inventory of any product in one
or more locations (warehouses or delivery trucks). Create and print purchase orders on a
standard printer or a Hewlett Packard LaserJet (TM). Receive purchase orders into
inventory, with the option of printing receivers ('key recs'), and inventory tags or price
labels. Maintain a Vendors database complete with the vendors purchasing history. With the
exception of the initial and ongoing data entry of new product and vendors, DAYO Inventory
is totally menu driven. Since DAYO Inventory is multi-user, it is capable of operating on
most of the PC based networks, including Novell (TM). Other features include Reports,
Labels, Lists, and a Graph. A simple database management module is also included to
provide you with additional means to modify, view, and report your data. The ability to
upgrade your system is available with the addition of supporting DAYO products (ie: DAYO
POS, DAYO EOP, DAYO AP, and more...).

JOB COSTING
DAYO Job Costing tracks all 'costs' related to a job, project, task, or work order. It
is by default a multi-user system. This system is based upon Work Orders. A Work Order is
defined as a record of inventory and labor required to produce an end item, product,
project or task. This system provides a system of recording both inventory and labor. All
inventory, when issued is related to a specific Work Order. Labor is recorded as direct
and indirect, and is also related to a specific Work Order. When a Work Order is finished,
it is closed and a Master Work Order Summary is printed which sums up the total inventory,
direct labor, indirect labor, and includes an overhead factor. This Master Work Order is
the cost for the job. The finished Work Order can be added to the inventory as a new item,
or added (with all its components) to a Bill of Materials database.

LOOK UP
DAYO Look Up is a routine for DAYO users to view data from any DAYO database or dBase
(TM) compatible database (.DBF). No editing is allowed. This provides a 'safe' tool for
users that do not have the need to make changes to the databases. This module has
multi-level passwords.

MATERIALS REQUIREMENT PLANNING (MRP)
DAYO MRP is a routine designed for manufacturers. DAYO MRP builds items (End Items)
from items (Components) in the inventory database. End Items can later be placed into
inventory for later sales. Supports multi-level Bill of Materials. Features include
automatic inventory posting and creation of inventory adjustment records, databases are
dBase (TM) compatible, multi-user, and many reports exist.

MEMBERSHIP
DAYO Membership is an application designed to track membership for an association or
organization. The ability to maintain records for donations, dues, payments and invoices
has also been incorporated into the package. Use DAYO Membership to record member
information and optionally, maintain a simple accounting system for dues and donations.
Many reports and reporting routines are included in this package, including Members List,
Members Expanded, Aging, Member Notes Receipts Statements, Folder Labels, Labels
(Standard), Big Labels, Payments, Form Letters, and Invoices. Over 33 configuration
options exist to further define how you wish to operate.

ORDER ENTRY

printer in a special laser format, or as a standard/default form.

DAYO Payroll provides a system for the computation of payroll for businesses of any
size. DAYO Payroll contains many features and functions not normally found in any PC

PRICE BOOK
DAYO Price Book is a system of creating and maintaining specialized pricing for your
customers. Special printouts including Price Books or Catalogs may be printed to a
standard printer, or to a Hewlett Packard (TM) LaserJet or compatible. It requires the
presence of DAYO Inventory and DAYO POS (Point of Sale) programs and databases. Customers
are invoiced (with DAYO POS), using the price in the inventory database (INV. DBF), or
with one of the special Price Book methods:
Fixed - Fixed Price for a Unique Item + Customer (1st Priority)
Margin - 'Cost Plus' (2nd Priority)
List Discount - Discount off the List/Retail Price (3rd Priority)

QUOTES
DAYO Quotes creates sales order quotes based on the DAYO Inventory, Customer, and
other DAYO databases. Quotes can be printed on a standard printer or a Hewlett Packard
(TM) LaserJet compatible printer. The quote can be printed on a pre-printed form, on the
Laser printer in a special laser format, or as a standard form. DAYO Quotes closely models
itself after the DAYO POS (Point of Sale) application and is totally integrated with that
application. After producing a quote using the DAYO Quotes module, the quote can be posted
to DAYO Point of Sale to become an invoice. There is no need to input your customer
purchase information twice. Templates (kits or bundles) are supported.

RENTAL POS
DAYO RENTAL POS (Point of Sale) is a Billing and Invoicing application for any
business that rents items, equipment, or services, like Videos, Tapes, Furniture, Tools,
Appliances, etc. This program requires the existence of the DAYO Point of Sale module to
function properly and for its reports and configuration settings. It is by default a
multi-user system, allowing almost unlimited numbers of users to have the ability to
simultaneously invoice using this one program on a PC based LAN/Network. It can however,
be run (like all DAYO products) as a 'standalone' application. Use the DAYO POS manual for
instruction.

REPORT WRITER
DAYO Report Writer is a Multi-user application capable of producing customized reports
from data files produced by any of the DAYO modules. It is a basic, menu driven report
generator intended for the new or intermediate user who needs report writing capabilities
beyond the scope of the standard DAYO modules. In addition to being a basic report writer,
it also includes several additional databases functions to allow the user to define, copy,
append, export, and mail merge DAYO databases. Many more features exists.

SALES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS)
DAYO Sales Management System (SMS) was designed to aid the business or sales person in
the creation of Price Books and Quotes or Sales Orders, and in the management of Contacts
and Calendar events. It is by default a multi-user system, allowing almost unlimited
numbers of users to have the ability to simultaneously access the same data on a PC based
LAN/Network. From the main menu of DAYO SMS, you can view customer information, edit
customer profiles, view the inventory, create price books, create sales order quotes,
maintain sales contacts, maintain a calendar, set the configuration settings and defaults
for the entire system, run special routines and print reports & labels.

SERVICE DISPATCH
DAYO Service Dispatch is a program designed for service (or repair) companies of all
types. Use it to initiate service or work orders, record any notes (at any time), dispatch
a technician to do the job, record the inventory and labor used to do the job, and then
close the work order and create an invoice for services rendered. The program is totally
integrated with DAYO Inventory, Point Of Sale, and Accounts Receivable. Service Dispatch
provides multiple options and configuration settings that make it easy to use. Features
are very numerous, and include customer and inventory maintenance, warehouse transfers
(pick tickets), modified or special invoicing, laser forms, and many reports.
