40 Fathom Grotto, FL 27 June 1999

Hal Watts' Forty Fathom Grotto is a deep hole in the ground just north and west of Ocala.  It's depth is 240 feet, with sheer walls and overhangs. I consider it a nice place to make a couple dives. Especially if you want to experience deep and/or night (no light under the overhangs and duck weed).

Joshua and I accompanied the staff of The Dive Station and others to this site.   Joshua did his first deep dive today (130 feet).  We descended a float line to a submerged boat then made a slow ascent.  The second and third dives where around the spring (a 360), at around 50-70 feet.  

Which one do I use? The $200 one or the $60?  Only a tough question for a 14y/o...
